3 Reasons Why Twitter Marketing is Important

In our previous blog-post, we have told our readers about how important it is to market your business on Facebook, Pinterest and LinkedIn. It’s also necessary to go all out on Twitter for branding. It is a valuable tool and its’ time you took advantage of it. Here’s why:

For Customer Relationships
Just like other social platforms, you’re main aim on Twitter should also be to connect with your audience. As a brand, you have to answer to their questions, thank them for shares and comments, respond to their appreciation/complaints towards your product/services, post stuff which would interest your customers, thank them time and again for being your customers and so on. Photos have gained importance on Twitter off-late since this site is focusing on a more visual timeline now. Also, keep in mind that Twitter is all about the 140 characters limit so your tweets have to be short and crisp.

To Connect With Other Businesses in Your Industry

It is simple and great to connect with other businesses within your industry, or for that matter any brand you like. You can follow and interact with organisations and companies on Twitter and create a close network professionally and personally. The more you interact, the more likely, they are to follow you, your brand and share your content.

To Connect With Industry Professionals and Biggies

Twitter allows you to share the content of people in your industry professionals and big names within your line of business. You can develop your own expertise by taking advantage of Twitter. It also lends you a trustworthy impression. Twitter is flooded with millions of people who are looking for more information all the time. If you’re a brand which does not provide it to them, your competitors will be there before you do.
Using Twitter is quite simple once you get a grip on it. Post simple tweets, connect with your customers and be sure, that you are more than half way through. If you’re not marketing your business on Twitter already, make a start today.

All About Hashtags

Are you wondering how to use hashtags? This blog-post will explain what exactly hashtags are, how they can help your business some different types of tags.

Hashtags are everywhere today. We use them on Twitter the most, but now they seem to be all over Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and so on. If you’re a marketer, the use of hashtags cannot be ignored. Hashtags can increase the reach of content, highlight your brand, hit your target market, make your content seen, improve your SEO strategies and do wonders to your social media marketing.

What is a Hashtag on Social Media?
Hashtags are words or groups of words after the # symbol. Eg: (#India or #SocialMediaMarketing). It basically makes it easier to track a specific topic of discussion. If you type #India, you’ll be able to see an entire conversation about this topic by thousands of people. In the same way, you can create a hashtag for your brand for more publicity and recognition.

3 Key Marketing Strategies for Hashtags are:
·         Brand & Campaign Specific
·         Trending and
·         Content

What are they and how do they help your business?
Brand and campaign specific hashtags are those which you make for your own business. You can use them to market your brand and for promotions. Your hashtag should ideally be the name of your brand or company tagline. Make a brand hashtag that is relevant to your business. Your hashtag should be like a signature tag. Get more and more people to use them so that your brand gets marketed. Similarly, campaign hashtags are made for every marketing campaign you hold. For eg. If you have a sale/discount scheme at your store/business you can create a unique hashtag to highlight the sale. If you get people to use the tag, your campaign will get enormous reach.

Trending Hashtags
A trending hashtag is that tag which has become very popular. You must have come across the term about “what’s trending now.” It is referring to the hashtags that are trending or most talked about right now. Trending hashtags constantly change in real time. To have your business hashtag to trend, you must make sure it is used extensively and reaches an enormous audience.

Content Hahstags

Content Hashtags are those you use in your posts. They are not brand hashtags and are not used to define your business and marketing. These may not be trending or may not be that famous. They are simple hashtags that are relevant to your posts and content. Content hashtags improve the search engine optimisation (SEO) of your content. They get your updates noticed by people who are searching or using your hashtag words.
Hashtags are widely used and are an integral part of marketing your business on social media!

Twitter Marketing

Are you marketing your brand on social media? Twitter marketing can be great too!
So, how do you do it? The extensive use of hashtags on Twitter has led to some really good discussions around a specific hashtag. Maybe you know how to use Twitter for your personal chats but that’s different from how you can use it to achieve business goals. Let’s see how:

Connect with Customers
You can try to host a business event to bring your audience together. This can help you to build a deep relationship with them, while it allows them to learn and engage with your business. The key to host such events is to choose a topic to which your customers can relate. As the host of this event, you can expect a rise in followers each time to hold a chat. You’ll even build your own social influence when you’re retweeted and mentioned at each chat. As your chats increase and gain popularity, your business will be known for your specific Twitter chat topic and your brand can be recognised as a leader in your space.

Build Leadership
You are already using social media for marketing. Now it’s time to build up some authority in it. This means, you should become a leader in the eyes of your customers. You can do this by being very prompt with answering the queries of your audience related to your business. You can answer questions within your area of expertise and create reliability and dependability for your customers. Be online on Twitter and keep a check on your company page to see if anyone has something to ask/say about your brand or line of business. Also, retweet positive feedbacks of people to you so that it creates a better impression! Be very thankful to those who appreciate your product/service and write a small note of thanks to him/her. This way, the customers feel special too!

Be Up-to-Date
Not every conversation on Twitter has to be about your business. Attending Twitter chats in your industry as a spectator can be a great educational experience. Be the one to keep searching and finding chats where other professionals and industry experts meet to discuss common issues. Participate in such conversations on Twitter. It will create a great impact and you will allow you to learn more. Discuss, chat, talk and be updated with latest information and news. The more active you are on Twitter, the more noticed your brand will get.

Promote
Create hashtags for your brand. Retweet good words about your business from customers. Also, keep in contact with your customers. If you lose touch with Twitter, people will forget about your hashtags and brand. It is important to follow your clients and people relevant in your industry too. Remember that Twitter has a great capacity to increase your customer base and followers which will help you expand your brand awareness.
